The Regional Employability Framework (REF)

The Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for the North East identifies both improving productivity and improving levels of economic activity as key objectives for the region.  One NorthEast and its partners within the Regional Skills Partnership are building on the RES by exploring ways of enhancing performance in driving up employment rates and the return on current investment in employability interventions.

In particular, the partners are working to implement the Regional Employability Framework (REF).  This will develop practical implementation to join up employment and skills action in the region, and align with Government developments for an Integrated Employment and Skills System, and plans for a new Adult Advice and Careers Service.
