Frank Ramsay
Chief Executive, NETA Training Group, representing the Association of Learning Providers
Frank commenced his career in engineering with ICI. Following his apprenticeship he worked in the Planning Department, and subsequently in the Drawing Office.
In 1981 he joined NETA Training Group as a Craft Instructor and ultimately became Manager of the Department responsible for Government Funded and Group Training activities.
In 1989 he was appointed Teesside Manager with Sight & Sound Education Ltd and, in 1992, became National Contracts Manager with responsibility for the activities of 16 Business Administration Colleges throughout the UK.
In 1994 he rejoined NETA Training Group as Chief Executive. Since that time, the Company has achieved Centre of Vocational Excellence status in Engineering Construction, Grade 2 Ofsted inspection results and became the first Work Based Learning provider in the country to achieve the Training Quality Standard.
He holds the following positions:
• Regional Chairman and Director of the Association of Learning Providers
• Chairman of the Work Based Learning Regional Network
• Member of the Regional Skills Partnership – representing Work Based Learning
• Member of the North East 14-19 Commission – representing Work Based Learning
• Member of the Regional Quality Improvement Partnership, representing Work Based Learning
• Member of the Training Committee of the Tees Valley Engineering Partnership
• Stockton Borough: Member of 14-19 Partnership, Enjoy and Achieve Board and Making Positive Contribution Board
