Mike Johnson

Children's Services Manager, Barnados, representing North Tyneside 14-19 Local Partnership

Following a range of jobs including police officer, salesman and building site labourer, Mike qualified as a teacher and taught in North East high schools for twenty years. In 1996 he moved to Barnardo’s to become manager of Palmersville Training WBL Project- a post he continues to hold.  Mike is heavily involved in educational developments particularly within North Tyneside. He chairs the North Tyneside WBL network, the North Tyneside NEET steering group and the Skills and Enterprise Centres Advisory Board.
