The REF 'Journey' Models
a) Stage 1 (high level) model (see below)
The REF Stage 1 model covers the five stages of the customer journey from first engagement through to sustainable employment with progression opportunities. The REF will join up and streamline that journey.
b) Stage 2 (detailed) Model (see below)
The REF Stage 2 model looks at the next level of detail and looks at the breakdown of the customer journey. It identifies that customers will fall within Green, Amber or Red categories depending upon the number and nature of barriers holding them back. Individuals with multiple barriers may need more support and take longer to reach their goal than others.
