To help people take up jobs and career opportunities in specific sectors, pre-employability training – known as “routeways” have been developed. Partners, (including Jobcentre Plus, Learning and Skills Councils, Regional Skills Partnerships and North East Employer Coalition), have used a demand led approach, designing training content to meet employers’ recruitment needs. The routeways focus on providing access to entry level jobs in the relevant sectors.

To see the sector specific routeways which have been developed so far, please click on the appropriate section of the panel on the right. We are currently developing routeways for other sectors, and will be publishing details in the near future, so please be sure to look at this site regularly to view new additions if your sector is not covered at present.
